The 11th International Conference on Fluid Power (IFK) will be held in Aachen from March 19-21, 2018. In attending the IFK several times over the years, I’ve found it to be one of the best fluid power conferences in the world—and a fantastic place to network with fluid power users, researchers, and experts.
The IFK offers users, manufacturers, and scientists an international forum to exchange experiences in the area of hydraulic and pneumatic drives and control systems.
The symposium, on the first day, provides a framework for presentations and demonstrations of fundamentals. The following two days of the conference cover a wide variety of application and technology orientated topics in two parallel sessions. The conference is followed by a two-day excursion to companies and places of technical interest.
Fluid power provides a foundation for drive and automation technology in mobile and industrial applications. In the course of digitalization and developments like the “Internet of Things”, “Big Data”, and “I4.0“, the fluid power industry faces new challenges. New applications like innovative validation strategies and predictive maintenance become more important as well as combinations of fluid power drives with electrical and mechanical drive technologies, and the communication in connected systems. These challenges are reflected by the motto of the 11th IFK: “Fluid Power Networks.”
Speakers or researchers who are interested in forwarding a paper abstract to this established international conference should upload it no later than May 15, 2017 via the paper submission path on the 11th IFK homepage: www.ifk2018.com.
