5JMC series molded connector for DO3 and DO5 hydraulic valves

Canfield Connector has introduced another new connector for hydraulic valves. Its 5JMC series double solenoid ISO DIN molded connector is engineered to simplify wiring and enhance reliability for DO3 and DO5 hydraulic valve applications. Late last month, Canfield had launched its updated Gatormate Deutsch style connector, also for double solenoid valves.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, the 5JMC Series combines two solenoid valve connections into a single over molded assembly — allowing for separate control or parallel control configurations while reducing wire runs, pass-throughs, and control box connections. The molded polyurethane housing and integrated gasket deliver NEMA 6/IP67-rated sealing for long-term environmental protection, even in the harshest hydraulic and fluid-power conditions.

“The 5JMC was designed around real-world hydraulic applications where space is tight and downtime is costly,” said Todd Harmon, Vice President of Canfield Industries. “By integrating both connectors, eliminating loose gaskets, and upgrading to stainless-steel hardware, we’ve created a connector that’s as durable as the systems it supports.”

In addition to its rugged mechanical design, the 5JMC Series features ultra-bright LEDs that are visible from 360°, providing easy diagnostics in any orientation, unlike competitor products that rely on single-direction pin lights. The connector’s low-profile 90° cord exit enables installation in tight valve manifolds, while optional surge suppression (MOV or diode) and multiple wire configurations allow for flexible OEM integration.

The 5JMC Series is ideal for hydraulic manifold assemblies, mobile equipment, and industrial automation requiring high-reliability solenoid control in space-constrained environments. Available in PVC or PUR jacketed cable and a variety of lengths, each connector is fully tested and built under Canfield’s ISO 9001-certified quality system.

A note from the editor In our October issue of Fluid Power World, my commentary takes a look at the growing role of automation and sensors in mobile machinery, where OEMs are increasingly focused on automating specific functions and improving machine performance rather than chasing fully autonomous equipment. Josh Cosford gets cheeky comparing the auto…
