Bosch Rexroth celebrates grand opening of expanded industrial hydraulics facility

Bosch Rexroth celebrated the grand opening of its expanded Industrial Hydraulics warehouse with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 11, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The expansion will support Bosch Rexroth’s efforts to consolidate operations through a 50,000-square-foot, one-campus concept to streamline production and logistics, while reinforcing the company’s continued commitment to the Lehigh Valley.

“Bringing our operations together on one campus allows our Bethlehem team to streamline operations, improve efficiency and better serve our customers,” said Frank Theil, Bosch Rexroth industrial hydraulics global manufacturing leader. “This investment helps us remain competitive, meet changing market demands and improve lead times while reinforcing Bosch Rexroth’s dedication to the Bethlehem community.”

The warehouse includes the AutoStore system, which streamlines the storage and retrieval of manufactured parts, supporting Bosch Rexroth’s ability to quickly deliver diverse and complex solutions. The system uses warehouse space more efficiently, reducing space requirements by approximately 40% while supporting improved operational efficiency and customer service.

Bosch Rexroth’s expanded facility was constructed by J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. (Petrucci), a leading Development and Design/Build firm in the region. Executives from Bosch Rexroth and construction project leaders with Petrucci shared remarks with associates and community leaders. Speeches were followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided facility tours.

Bosch Rexroth’s history in the Bethlehem community dates to 1967, when the company established its U.S. operations in Easton and moved to Bethlehem Township. Today, Bosch Rexroth continues to be a significant presence in the region as a global manufacturing leader and member of the Lehigh Valley community. Bosch Rexroth’s facility is located at 2300 City Line Road in Bethlehem.
