Canfield Connector has received Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing for a wide range of its 5F and 5J molded solenoid valve connectors, the first in the industry with integrated gaskets. Screen Shot 2016-08-09 at 12.01.32 PM

The UL listing confirms the products’ performance and safety features and represents an important benefit for customers who wish to achieve or maintain UL listing for assemblies or machines that use the connectors.

“Our integrated 5F and 5J connectors have delivered great value in the industrial marketplace, and the UL listing will make them even more attractive,” said Todd Harmon, vice president at Canfield Industries, parent of Canfield Connector. “Their integrated design eliminates costly field work and the potential for gasket loss while providing reliable power to solenoid valves that manage the flow of fluids, air and other media.

“With UL listing, these products can now fulfill the demands of customers who require UL-listed components in their fluid- and air-management systems,” Harmon said.

The connectors are available in a variety of sizes and wire lengths and with options for indicator lighting, surge protection and other features. An IP67/NEMA 6 environmental rating is standard.

The 5F and 5J connectors are proudly made in the United States under the Canfield Industries quality system that is certified under ISO 9001/2008.

Are hydrogen fuel cells the future for mobile machines? Prioritizing decarbonization is, without doubt, one that most countries agree with almost pure unanimity. Here, in the U.S., the Biden administration has a goal to eliminate carbons from the electric grid system by 2035. Globally, most countries are on similar timelines. But, looking ahead to 2050,…
