DGD Fluid Power announces that its CFT-Max Cartridge Flow Transmitter (CFT) is now available with CANopen communication. This is the latest in a series of updates to the technology, including temperature sensing.
CANopen is an international standard for embedded control systems (EN 50323-4). It is used in all kinds of mobile machinery, medical devices, rail vehicles, laboratory equipment, building automation and control systems for renewable energy projects.
“This option is completely within the programming; there are no mechanical changes. We use the same cartridge and wiring configuration as the CFT-Max (J1939),” said Dale Dietel, president/CEO of DGD Fluid Power.

The CFT-Max from DGD Fluid Power now offers temperature sensing.
‘Including this capability greatly expands the opportunities for machine manufacturers around the world to take advantage of the data acquisition of both hydraulic flow rates and temperatures offered by the CFT-Max products,” said Dietel. “The ever increasing requirements of data acquisition of all system parameters for predictive maintenance and system monitoring make the CFT products an absolute must when it’s time to ‘know the flow.”
DGD Fluid Power’s Cartridge Flow meter technology (CFT) is readily incorporated in hydraulic manifolds, eliminating plumbing, minimizing weight, and greatly reducing the space required with traditional flow meters.
