Cost-optimized check valves

By Ken Korane | February 13, 2020

Bucher Hydraulics offers an extensive range of highly reliable and durable check/non-return valves, both as standard components as well as designs optimized for specific applications. For high demand situations, the product range includes check valves for pressures up to 420 bar (6,092 psi). Notable features of all the check valves are their low pressure losses even at high flow rates, their high operational reliability and extremely low leakage.

Economical check valves from Bucher Hydraulics

The company now offers check valves for applications up to 220 bar (3,191 psi) as an economical alternative. This new generation of cost-optimized hydraulic check valves, series RKVE-G..-VD22, offers flow rates that, for the same pressure drop, are 22% higher than those of the previous series.

Soft seals have been completely eliminated, thus allowing operation at temperatures from -30° to 120°C (-22° to 248°F). A fully enclosed internal spring offers the highest levels of operational safety and service life.

The check valves are available in nominal sizes 04 (12 lpm/3.2 gpm), 06 (25 lpm), 08 (50 lpm) and 10 (80 lpm) with opening pressures of 0.2, 0.5 and 1 bar.

A note from the editor In our October issue of Fluid Power World, my commentary takes a look at the growing role of automation and sensors in mobile machinery, where OEMs are increasingly focused on automating specific functions and improving machine performance rather than chasing fully autonomous equipment. Josh Cosford gets cheeky comparing the auto…
