A note from the editor
Welcome to your first issue of Fluid Power World for 2026! We’re excited to kick off the year with an issue dedicated mostly to CONEXPO/CON-AGG, the largest construction trade show in North America. For the first time since the IFPE show moved to Las Vegas, there will be no dedicated show-in-a-show for fluid power technologies. However, much of the layout for the show remains the same, with exhibitors primarily still being in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Turn to our coverage beginning on page 22 to learn about the show, education offerings, key highlights from fluid power exhibitors, and a full fluid power exhibitor list.
We also include a look at some new technologies, with exclusive insights about Festo’s AI-enabled monitoring and predictive maintenance system AX Motion Insights Pneumatic, which monitors pneumatic cylinders for wear and anomalies; as well as an in-depth contributed piece from Parker Hannifin about the evolution of steer-by-wire technology.
