Due to the current pandemic situation, the 13th IFK, originally scheduled for Aachen, Germany in March, has been postponed. After careful consideration, the committee has decided to postpone the 13th IFK to summer 2022. Fortunately, they were able to find a time-slot in the usual event location Eurogress in Aachen.
The 13th IFK will therefore take place from June 13-15, 2022 as an in-person event in Aachen, under the then prevailing hygiene regulations. The committee hopes hope this allows them to find a time when personal exchange and intensive discussions are possible.
The conference program will be the same for the new conference dates, except from minor changes that could result from scheduling conflicts. The trade exhibition is scheduled to take place in June as well. The optional excursion on the 4th and 5th day of the conference are cancelled without replacement until further notice, as June 16th is a public holiday in Germany.
In addition, there is another change in the conference program: The evening event on Monday evening, June 13, will take place as a get-together in the lab and the conference dinner on Tuesday evening as a get-together in the Eurogress at the trade exhibition.
