At IFPE this week, HAWE Hydraulik is highlighting its newest technologies, including the LE-X hydraulic locking unit, a state-of-the-art safety solution for passenger restraint systems on amusement park rides.
The LE-X is designed for high loads — breaking load is 28,000 N. This design ensures the safety of the passenger even in the most demanding rides. The compact design allows for easier installation and seat integration. The unit is rated to IP65 protection for dusty and humid environmental conditions. Optional corrosion protection up to Level C4 is also available.
The manual emergency release can be operated via an up to 5-m long Bowden cable (push-pull cable). This facilitates installation in confined spaces and difficult installation spaces. A selection of accumulators allows a customer-specific configuration for different seat sizes and types. They feature stroke lengths to 250 mm.
HAWE Micro Fluid GmbH first developed its HLU locking systems in 1995, and they have been used on roller coasters, robot simulators, water rides, VR rides and 4D cinemas.
