A note from the editor
Welcome to the March issue of Fluid Power World. As usual, we offer a variety of in-depth technical articles, written both in-house by our editorial staff and submitted by industry experts, as well as foundational fundamental content for engineers and users of fluid power machinery.
Our high-level feature articles look at:
- The importance of zinc-free hydraulic fluids from The Lubrizol Corp.
- Our newest Profile in Fluid Power, where Casey Ruttan tells us how he went from IT to fluid power
- Why hydraulics are so noisy and Josh Cosford gives us some tips on how to test the noise in your hydraulic systems
We also feature all our regular fundamentals content, including a piece on gauges, compressed air efficiency, and when to drain your reservoirs, as well as some industry updates on upcoming technical conferences. As usual, Josh and I kick off the issue with our commentaries, so start there to see what we both have learned from our first-quarter industry travel.
Thanks for reading!
