Need more flow from your standard regulator? Most pilot operated regulators do not have 3” ports, so the majority of users are required to use two 2” regulators in parallel. Master Pneumatic took this problem and created a solution by designing the PR300-24. This unique pilot operated regulator was designed for those applications, with flow rates exceeding 4,000 SCFM (2,000 l/s).
The purpose of the piloted regulator is to reduce the amount of pressure from the inlet to the outlet. The inlet pressure has a maximum of 300 psig, while the outlet pressure that can be up to 200 psig. The control regulator provides manual control to the pilot operated regulator. View them as two independent regulators that are connected together; the smaller of the two is generally the control regulator.
In the picture above, the PR300-24G is shown with an optional IR100-2G (sold separately). This is one example of connecting a control regulator. Other Master Pneumatics’ products that can be used are: R55M, R56M, R57M, R100, R380, IR100 or IR380 regulators.
The PR300-24, created in 2008, was designed for applications that require high flow. This product can be found being used in places such as the glass, steel, or press industry or any application requiring high-flow rate such as: main plant air supply, rubber molding, or blow molding. The pilot operated regulator allows control from a convenient location without entering an unsafe or hard-to-reach area.
