Motion Industries, Inc., a distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts and a provider of industrial technology solutions, announces the release of the Motion Learning & Development Center’s (LDC) 2026 class schedule. These training opportunities support professional development across North American industry.

Motion offers technical training, professional development, and Microsoft Office courses through a program that provides in-person options at Motion Learning Centers and partner locations across the U.S., as well as virtual formats. These offerings are designed to help participants build skills and support their career development through structured, instructor-led sessions.

Open-enrollment classes offer instructor-led, hands-on learning led by subject matter experts at locations across the U.S. Many courses also include a virtual attendance option to support different learning preferences.

The 2026 schedule features three core types of courses:

  • Technical Courses: Includes hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, bearings and power transmission, CNC programming, process pumps, arc flash safety, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Professional Development: Includes improving leadership skills, communication, time management, conflict resolution and effective teamwork.
  • Microsoft Courses: Includes Outlook Essentials; One Note; tiered levels of Excel and PowerPoint and Word.

Whether attending in person or virtually, participants receive instruction designed to meet the needs of today’s industry environment. Motion’s Learning & Development Center at the company’s main campus in Birmingham, Alabama, provides 20,000 SF of classrooms, labs and other resources that support talent development and career growth. To support customers, hands-on training is also offered in various cities across the U.S. and at in-plant locations in North America.

Brock Culpepper, director of learning and development, said: “Our focus is to optimize our customers’ operations by providing training that builds practical skills for both their teams and our employees. Leading hands-on sessions and flexible virtual options, our well-qualified instructors equip students with the knowledge and confidence for success. Training is one of the best investments companies can make in their employees.”

Billy Hamilton, senior vice president of human resources, added: “Cultivating a company culture involves attracting, engaging and energizing your talent, and training is integral to achieving that. In today’s landscape, addressing industry’s skills gaps through technical training is more critical than ever. And honing soft skills can really help employees become well-rounded and move up the ladder. Motion’s diverse but carefully selected courses provide that and more.”

Class registration

Registration is open for all 2026 offerings. Interested parties can register online at motionind.biz/43jOzJX. A printable PDF of the 2026 schedule can be downloaded here for convenient planning.

The Motion Learning & Development Center in the last year alone has upskilled over 20,000 live-class attendees through 435 live classes. In addition, 300,000 online trainings were completed by employees in 2024. The center offers training assessments, on-site training, and custom lab equipment. The program has evolved since it began in 1988 as The Motion Institute.
