Scott Durand, VP of sales and marketing at Kraft Fluid Systems Inc. was appointed president of the Fluid Power Distributors Association after a unanimous vote by its members. Durand will serve as president of the FPDA until September 2018.
The FPDA was founded in 1974 by a group of hydraulic and pneumatic distributors who wanted to further their common interests and protect their position in the fluid power supply chain by sharing resources, ideas, and time. The FPDA has been an influential force in the industry. With more than 140 distributor and manufacturer members companies and more than 700 members, the FPDA represents motion solution providers who offer fluid power, automation, and electro-mechanical technologies and distribution services to enhance customer performance and profitability.
“We are excited to have Scott as the FPDA president. His insight and knowledge of the mobile hydraulics industry is invaluable to the FPDA. I look forward to working with Scott during his term as FPDA president as he continues to move this association forward with new education and member programs starting this year,” said Amy Luckado, executive director, FPDA.
Durand has been active with the FPDA since 2011, serving as a board member and officer. Kraft Fluid Systems has been a distributor member since 1979.

Durand has been with Kraft Fluid Systems since 2001 and got his start with the company in outside sales. He currently holds the role of vice president of sales and marketing and is responsible for the company’s sales in 12 states surrounding the Great Lakes and beyond.
