Invitation
The 13th International Fluid Power Conference will take place from June 13th to 15th, 2022 in Aachen. We cordially invite you to Aachen and hope you attend this conference to exchange technical expertise and talk with friends in the field. As one of the world’s largest conferences dealing with Fluid Power, the IFK gives users, manufacturers and scientists an ideal forum to discuss relevant issues in the fields of hydraulic and pneumatic drives, controls and systems.

Plenary sessions at Eurogress
In times of drastically increasing costs for energy, uncertainties in energy supply and steadily growing global awareness for the limited amount of resources and the necessity for its sustainable usage, fluid power industry faces new and increasing challenges. This year’s motto of the IFK, Fluid power: Digital, reliable, sustainable, will therefore not only focus on scientific lectures, but will also address technical and sociological points of view in various sessions. For example, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Schmitz, director of ifas, will talk about the potential of fluid power technology and the challenges she sees for the technology and industry in the coming years. Sebastian Overlack Partner at McKinsey & Company Germany will deepen the discussion about sustainability in his presentation “Call for Action towards a sustainable future” and Claudia Canevari, Head of Energy Efficiency Unit of European Energy Commission will talk about EU Energy Efficiency Policy.

In addition to this technical and legislative look, the presentation by psychologist Rüdiger Maas will focus on the social challenges faced in the world of work as a result of a new generation of young people, the Generation Z.

Job market
Accompanying the exhibition, we offer a job market to present career opportunities for our prospective graduates and students. This offers participants the chance to make young talents aware of your company. Please send us (post@ifas.rwth-aachen.de) your advertisement of vacancies to be displayed in the IFK exhibition.

Registration
Detailed information is available on www.ifk2022.com. There, you can find the current version of the program. Also you can start the registration process for participants. Please note that the regular registration as participant is possible until May 29th 2022. After this date, the registration is only possible with a ticket price increased by 300 €.

Where are we in the tariffs tug-of-war? It feels like we’ve been talking about tariffs for months now, with the constant, will they or won’t they take effect? Josh Cosford penned an opinion piece a few weeks ago on this very topic, sharing his thoughts from north of our border as we waited for impending…
