Versa Products Company Inc. released the C5 NAMUR lockout valve, a compact, direct-mounted solution designed to provide positive actuator isolation during maintenance and shutdown procedures while delivering dependable performance in demanding industrial applications.

Designed for direct mounting to pneumatic actuators, it can be mechanically locked in either the energized or de-energized position. When unlocked, the valve operates electrically to control the actuator, eliminating the need for additional components or complex piping arrangements.

Available with both general-purpose and hazardous location solenoid options, the C5 NAMUR lockout valve is designed to integrate seamlessly with pneumatic actuators while delivering dependable performance in a wide range of industrial automation applications. Its compact, direct-mounted design helps reduce installation time, minimize potential leak points, and simplify ongoing maintenance.

“The C5 NAMUR lockout valve gives customers a simple and effective way to isolate pneumatic actuators without sacrificing reliability or ease of installation,” said Rob Lindquist, Director of Global Sales. “Its direct NAMUR mounting design reduces installation time while helping maintenance personnel safely secure actuators during servicing.”

Key Features

  • Direct NAMUR interface for fast, compact actuator mounting
  • Mechanical lockout in both energized and de-energized positions
  • Field convertible between 3-way and 4-way operation
  • Suitable for air, inert gas, and natural gas applications
  • Operating pressure from 15 to 150 psi
  • General-purpose and hazardous location solenoid options
  • Lightweight anodized aluminum construction with FKM seals

The C5 NAMUR Lockout Valve is ideal for pneumatic actuator installations across industries including oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, water and wastewater treatment, and other industrial automation applications where dependable actuator isolation is required.

Important Note: The C5 provides mechanical actuator lockout but is not an OSHA-approved block and bleed lockout valve.
