NewAge Industries Offers Hose Clamps in Three Styles

By Fluid Power World Editor | July 24, 2013

Available from plastic tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries are three styles of clamps to secure fittings to tubing. The three styles – double bond, ear type and worm gear – are used in a wide range of industries including food and beverage, chemical, laboratory, medical, OEM, MRO, aerospace and aviation, pool and spa, automotive, appliance, marine and others.

Clamps are often necessary when assembling tubing or reinforced hose with a fitting. Typically fittings with barbs need a clamp to securely attach the fitting to the tubing. Without a clamp there’s the potential of the two components separating.

NewAge offers Kwik Clamp, its brand of nylon double bond clamps, as a non-metal option. Manufactured of durable, black nylon 6-6, a U.L. recognized component, Kwik Clamps will not rust or corrode. They are non-conductive and RoHS compliant. Kwik Clamps offer a patented double row of teeth, ensuring a strong bond that will not vibrate loose. Another advantage of the clamps is that no tools are needed for installation.

The Oetiker ear type clamping system is also available from NewAge Industries. Offered in stainless steel and zinc plated carbon steel, Oetiker clamps breathe to adapt to expansion and contraction, yet remain secure and tamper-proof. Their lightweight, compact design makes the clamps well suited to limited-space applications. One ear, two ear and one ear stepless types are stocked, along with pincers for clamp installation.

NewAge Industries Clamps in Three Styles

NewAge supplies worm gear clamps as well. This style offers easy installation – simply tighten with a screwdriver – and durable stainless steel construction. A lined version is available for use with very soft tubing such as silicone. The clamps, from Ideal-Tridon, are available in standard, miniature, automotive and marine grade.

Clamp sizes range from 5/32” through 6” nominal diameter, depending on clamp type. Fittings available from NewAge that call for the use of clamps include plastic and brass barbed type, cam operated couplings and two-stage safety air couplers. Plastic and rubber tubing and hose is stocked by NewAge Industries in nearly 30 variations.
