Each March, work truck dealers, fleet managers, equipment manufacturers and distributors come together in Indianapolis at The Work Truck Show. Produced by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, this year’s event is slated for March 14-17 and coincides with the Green Truck Summit on clean energy innovations as well.
The event includes professional educational sessions and a trade show floor filled with products that boost productivity and efficiency. About 25 fluid power companies will join the 500-plus other manufacturers at this 500,000 square-foot event, to highlight how how their technologies can increase power and efficiency on vocational trucks and vans.
The following companies have announced they will be releasing these new products at this year’s event:
Bucher Hydraulics, Inc., booth 1531, will be launching new Dual Station M-3530 Power Units that requiring two double-acting functions with load holding, operating independent of one another in a parallel circuit. They use two integral dual solenoids, eliminating the need for two manifold assemblies stacked onto the system.
The company will also promote its new Variable Speed Drive Control for Power Units, which pairs its Motor Speed Controller with its dc Unit for applications requiring custom electronic interface design. Bucher says it improves control; decreases energy consumption, lowers noise; increases battery life and thermal run times. Visit www.bucherhydraulics.com for more details.
Chelsea Products Div of Parker, booth 3412, will be highlighting its new 272F Series PTO, which simplifies PTO installation while reducing noise and cost. Visit www.PHtruck.com/chelsea for more details.
DEL Hydraulics Inc., booth 3318, will showcase its Super Duty Air Compressor Kit for snowplow, refuse( roll off’s), and dump body vehicles without air brakes. It includes an air compressor, feathering air valves, feathering air shift cylinders, ram mounts and seat base plate, and color-coded tubing and fittings. In addition, attendees can meet industry suppliers and experience the latest advanced technologies and alternative fuel applications by test-driving or riding in the newest commercial vehicles at The Work Truck Show Ride-and-Drive held during exhibit hall hours March 15 and 16. I had an opportunity to participate in the Ride-and-Drive two years ago and got my first-ever ride in a hydraulic hybrid from Lightning Hybrids.
Finally, longtime NFL analysts Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long will share the stage as keynote speakers as part of the President’s Breakfast on Thursday, March 16.
